CLUB RUNS
WEEKENDS
The club offers three club runs at weekends:
Moderate pace (Sundays)
This starts at 8am from Great Doddington (contact John Crisp Tel 01933 224122 for further details).
The pace is 13 to 15 mph for about 50 to 60 miles, and also includes a tea stop at a local cafe about half way round. This ride happens every Sunday and is usually a good run if you want a chat and to see some nice countryside in and around Northamptonshire.
Faster pace (Sundays)
This ride starts at 9.30am from The Horseshoe Pub at Sywell and is a similar speed and distance to Saturdays.
Faster pace (Saturdays)
This ride starts at 8.30am on a Saturday from the Lumbertubs Pub near Moulton, Northampton. This is a faster ride taken at anywhere from 16 to 20 mph avg. depending on the terrain and the weather with distances being about 50-60 miles.
EVENING
Wednesdays and Fridays - now approx 40miles each evening!!!
These two evening training rides are now on offer throughout the Winter !!!!.
Both start at 6:30pm from the under pass on Hardwick Road just off Niort Way.
The route we take is always the same to make it easy for others to join the ride at various points. We head out towards Hardwick village and turn left towards Sywell were we usually meet a group from Northampton at about 6.45. From here we take a right at the roundabout and head for Holcot, crossing over the A43 at the roundabout. We go straight across at the junction in Holcot and we head across the causeway and straight on towards Brixworth, just before we reach the village we take a right turn towards Scaldwell. We go through the village and take a right turn towards Old, straight through the village and on to Walgrave. Here we take a left at the T junction and then the right towards Hannington. In Hannington village we take a left and this brings us back towards the A43 again. We cross the A43 at the Redhouse garage and head for Orlingbury. In the village we take a right turn towards Little Harrowden and then at the roundabout we take a right to bring us out on the road towards Sywell again.
