A fine morning considering the time of year and in spite of a headwind along the airfield road some fine times were returned. Showing some excellent early form Phill Melling recorded the fastest time 48 seconds clear of the next man 16 year old guest Joel Lewis.

A couple of riders full of seasonal cheer rode in fancy dress. John Crisp really took to the spirit of the race name by riding as the flying chef!
